Home Economics and Livelihood Education (A BEEd-Gen. Curriculum Content Course)


This course intends to provide Elementary Education students in the Philippines (BEEd General Curriculum or General Education from CMO No. 30 Series 2004) quality technology and livelihood education that will contribute to the maximum development to engage in entrepreneurial activities and enrich desirable values and attitudes to face economic competition. Values should be integrated in any topic whenever appropriate.


This course also prepares elementary education students for the teaching of Home Economics and Livelihood Education or HELE in the elementary grades (Grades 4 to 6). 


The four components of HELE (or EPP) are Industrial arts, Agriculture, Home Economics (Family living, Care for the home, Foods, Clothing), ICT and Entrepreneurship.
